Joydens Wood Medical Centre and Elmdene Surgery (along with branch surgeries, Bean Surgery and Bennett Way Surgery) are unable to provide clinical services until further notice. This follows action by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to allow the practices to undertake urgent work to ensure they are meeting the required standards of patient care. Alternative arrangements are being made for patients registered at these two surgeries to receive GP services elsewhere locally. A letter with more details is being sent to all patients. In the meantime, if you need to see a GP or nurse, you can attend the Whitehorse Walk-in Centre, Vale Rd, Northfleet, Gravesend DA11 8BZ or for minor injuries, you can attend the Minor Injuries Unit, Bath St, Gravesend DA11 0DG from 8am to 8pm seven days a week. Please do not attend the Emergency Department at Darent Valley Hospital other than in an emergency situation.

Information and advice for patients

The Clinical Commisional Group will be writing to all registered patients to explain how they can continue to get any care they need.

The CCG has set up a helpline for patients on:  03000 424969 (which is available from Monday to Friday between 9am to 5pm), in case they need any further advice about getting any care they need. You can also find out more by visiting: http://www.dartfordgraveshamswanleyccg.nhs.uk

If you need urgent medical help or advice for a condition that is not a life-threatening situation you can call dial 111 for the free NHS 111 service. For life threatening medical emergencies please dial 999.
