At its Full Council Meeting on 15 January 2020, Darenth Parish Council resolved to formulate a new Community & Facilities Committee whose remit will oversee matters relating to social, community, physical, environmental and material needs within the Parish. Committee objectives will concentrate on:

• Promoting Darenth Community, local fairs, events and projects.

• Tree planting, street furniture, standards of maintenance, environmental improvements and litter issues.

With the first meeting taking place on 12 February 2020, the Council would welcome ideas for any relevant items for consideration at future meetings. First up on the agenda will be discussion regarding the VE-Day 75th Anniversary on 8-10 May 2020 and consideration for options in respect of potential tree planting in Darenth Parish. Subsequent meetings will be held monthly and please contact darenthparishcouncil@btinternet.com if you would like more details.
