A wreath was laid on Rememrance Sunday at the RAF Memorial Stone erected in memory of Flying Officer Nathaniel John Merriman Barry R.A.F.V.R. FO Barry, served in No. 501 Squadron, lost his life on 7 October 1940 when just 22 years old his Hurricane V6800 crashed near where the Memorial Stone now stands. One of Churchill's few, FO Barry's Memorial was dedicated on 26th May 2007 by Shoreham Aircraft Museum.
