In this the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings residents are reminded that this year's Remembrance Day Service at St Margaret of Antioch Church is on SUNDAY 10th November commening at 10.30am

Following the Church Service  the Congregation will make their way to two wreath laying ceremonies - the first being at the War Memorial outside the churchyard where wreaths will be laid in memory of those residents of the Parish who gave their lives in both the First and Second World Wars and in subsequent conflicts; following which, after a short walk up Darenth Hill, wreaths will be laid at the RAF Memorial Stone in memory of Flying Officer Nathaniel John Merriman Barry R.A.F.V.R. FO Barry, who served in No. 501 Squadron, lost his life on 7 October 1940 when just 22 years old as his Hurricane V6800 crashed near where the Memorial Stone now stands. One of Churchill's few, FO Barry's Memorial was dedicated on 26th May 2007 by Shoreham Aircraft Museum.

Organisations, Groups and individuals are invited and welcome to attend the Church Service and to lay a wreath at the War Memorial
