Dear Resident,

The Parish Council is aware of potential problems regarding waste and recycling collections. Residents are reminded to visit the collection day details page on Dartford Borough Council's Refuse and Recycling webpage to check for changes and collection updates.

We would report that currently:

  • Refuse collections are on schedule
  • Recycling collection is running about a quarter of a day behind
  • Garden Waste collection is running about a half a day behind

Urbaser have 25% of their workforce off for various reasons so Dartford Borough Council have moved some staff from routine street cleaning to emptying bins and have sourced some Agency cover.

Urbaser are trying really hard to keep ALL collections going. Dartford Borough Council are performing well compared to some Councils who have already suspended various collections. Please be understanding of the position.

This information has kindly been provided by Councillor Derek Hunnisett via Wilmington's Parish Clerk.
