Dear Resident,

The Borough Council is asking for as many people as possible to have their say on how the borough should address growth pressures.

They are seeking your views on our objectives for sustainable development in the Borough. They are producing a Local Plan to guide future investment in Dartford, as well as key planning and infrastructure decisions to 2036.

The plan is about creating a Dartford where people are proud to live, work and call home.  They feel new planning policies will meet the challenge posed by housing growth while ensuring our open spaces and green belt is preserved.

The current stage of plan-making is called Preferred Options (also known as 'Regulation 18'), setting out emerging proposals alongside alternative approaches to consider.  They then will use public input and technical studies to put together a full final draft Local Plan.

PLEASE SEE THE PARISH COUNCIL'S RESPONSE TO THE CONSULTATION ABOVE.
